THE FOURTH ANNUAL FERNDALE OKTOBERFEST returns the weekend of October 4th-6th at Woodward Avenue Brewers! Ferndale Oktoberfest is the only Metro Detroit celebration where you will enjoy a focus on authentic German food options, live music, dancing, games, biergarten, kids crafts, souvenirs and some of the highest rated biers from around the world! Ferndale Oktoberfest incorporates the beer-loving culture of Woodward Avenue Brewers, the festive outdoor beer garden of PORT, and The Loving Touch will be trans-formed into a German-style beer hall. OktoBEER Festival
LOCAL EVENT PRODUCERS ULTIMATE FUN PRODUCTIONS AND THE SOCIAL CONNECTION bring the third annual OktoBEER Festival to downtown Ferndale. Friday, October 5  thru Sunday, October 7 will transform the festival footprint into a gargantuan beer garden featuring tons of beer, traditional German food and tons of fun! Live music across two stages and themed games round out the entertainment for the weekend. OktoBEER Festival will showcase an unparalleled selection of German cuisine, various standalone food vendors and food trucks, along with an extensive selection of beer.

Whiskey N Wine Fest
SHE DRINKS WHISKEY. HE DRINKS WINE. Finally there’s an event that caters to both the sophisticated whiskey drinker and the cultured wine enthusiast! On Saturday, October 13 the Royal Oak Farmers Market will play host to the inaugural Whiskey & Wine Fest. Whiskey and Wine are two alcoholic beverages that are aged, appreciated and often paired with particular foods to enhance their flavors and enjoyment. Similar in many ways, yet different in their complexities, both have extremely loyal followings and fans the world over.
Join us in celebration of each – whether you like one, the other, or both!Guests of this event will enjoy sampling dozens of whiskeys and wines sourced from all over the world, country, and state. Whiskey connoisseurs can sip on select brands from storied distilleries, while winos can taste their way across the globe, including several Michigan vineyards and a diverse range of varietals. Guests of Whiskey N Wine Fest will receive a commemorative glass, keepsake photo, live entertainment & games.

Fido Does Ferndale
DOWNTOWN FERNDALE GOES TO THE DOGS when Fido Does Ferndale returns on Thursday, October 18 from 5-8pm! Downtown will be on when Fido Does Ferndale! This DDA event – to help raise funds for a doggy drinking fountain – will have downtown hopping with canine activities, vendors, and tons of doggone good fun and adventure for everyone and their pooches! With event headquarters set up at W. 9 Mile & Planavon, the event will feature the popular K-9 Treasure Hunt, featuring free doggy treats, at more than a dozen participating businesses, the Pooch Parade, dog contests, and lots of other cool stuff.

Sidewalks downtown will be lined with lots of dog-friendly vendors that will be selling everything your pet needs: organic foods, boarding, grooming, pet-sitting, collars, leads & cool duds for your dog, and much more will be available! Don’t have a Fido (or Fluffy) of your own?  Don’t worry – there will be many opportunities to meet and make a new best friend via several local pet rescues and adoption agencies at the event.

Fall Fling
AFFIRMATIONS INVITES YOU TO JOIN THEIR PARTY ON SATURDAY, October 20, at
7:00 PM for the annual Fall Fling celebration. This year, it’s a costume party theme! Guests are encouraged to wear their most creative costumes to ring in the Fall season with Metro Detroit’s LGBTQ+ community.
